Newfane Nitros U13 boys win the Indoor Session Championship

On April 25th Darren Eadie's U13 boys team beat Amherst U13A in the semi final and defeated Clarence U14A in the chanpionship game! The final score in the Amherst game was 2-0. The Nitros won the Championship game in a shoot out against Clarence after three sudden deaths. The score after regulation time was 1-1. After our first shooter in the regulation shoot out missed, Newfane came back to clinch victory after the third sudden death duel. The final score was 6-5. This was truly an unbelievable accomplishment given the age and size difference the Nitros gave up all season long. After completing 12 games, one of which was a bye, the Nitros finished with 11 wins and 1 loss. They had goals for of 62 and goals against of 19 - an impressive offensive and defensive statistic. Four of the players finished in the leagues top ten in scoring. Two of those were true under 12 players (Patrick Eadie was one). Congratulations Team!!
Darren hopes that all who participate can have similar experiences while playing and coaching for the Newfane Soccer Club.
